Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope your holidays are going great and you are getting some well-deserved down time. We’ve been surely enjoying the sunshine and treating ourselves because well, holiday calories don’t count. Right?!
Last week, we got a chance to try this amazing Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant called Vecino and OMG you guys, I’m still dreaming about it!
Keep reading to see what all the hype is about!

We made our way to Canterbury and easily found a parking spot. However, you can also get there by taking the train to Canterbury station and walking for less than 5 minutes!
As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and pretty cool ambiance. We loved the industrial and eclectic decoration details and really enjoyed the music choice.

Just check out those tequila bottles used as water carafes! I think I might steal that idea for our dinner parties next time.
As a Mexican gal, I usually have (high) standards when it comes to authentic Mexican fare so I wasn’t really sure of what to expect but I can safely say that Vecino blew my mind! Everything was cooked to perfection, the staff took the time to answer all our questions regarding the menu and even suggested dishes from their new menu according to our taste preferences (talk about amazing customer service!).

Now, let’s talk about the FOOD!
The menu has something for everyone, from loaded fries and tacos to fried chicken and quirky drinks. We decided to start with some Kimchi mozzarella cheese balls and some very refreshing drinks: Kiwi Bikini and Romantic Romeo (don’t you just love creative drink names?)!

Then, we tried the delicious BBQ chicken and the perfectly crispy ghost spicy & snow tenderloins. Needless to say, everything was so yummy!
The BBQ chicken was so good and literally fell off the bone, and the tenderloins were seriously the perfect mix of sweet and spicy.

Now, who wants to go with me and try the rest of Vecino’s menu? That scrumptious B.T.S. Chicken Platter and Bonita Señorita cocktail are calling my name… Let’s start 2019 off right!
Vecino – Gourmet Chicken & Tacos is located in Shop 1/1-3 Charles St, Canterbury NSW 2193 and is open until 10 PM so you have no excuses to come visit!
** Note: Vecino Gourmet Chicken & Tacos will be closed on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
