SHAKLEE YOUTH SKINCARE: REVIEW*

Hi, beauties! Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend. Weather has been kinda crazy here in Northwest Arkansas, like it wants to feel like fall but not quite there yet. Just today we have been in the high 70’s, can you believe it? Definitely doesn’t feel like November at all! So we will see how the rest of the month treats us. 

Having said that, my skin tends to dry out this season so I was really excited when Statusphere sent me this new skincare line from Shaklee for reviewing purposes. It’s called YOUTH and its mission is to target the cellular level of your skin to make you look younger, longer. I like how that sounds, don’t you?

Well, I have been trying it all week so I could share my review with you! 

YOUTH^® Radiance C+E

I was pleasantly surprised to see how convenient these single-dose capsules are! They contain pure vitamin C, E and raspberry extract to plump, brighten, and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I don’t have many fine lines or wrinkles yet but it never hurts to take care of our skin. These capsules are all natural (no pesky preservatives here), plant based, vegan and 100% biodegradable.

You are only supposed to use them once a day so I have been applying them the morning as my step one after washing my face with a cleanser. You just twist the top of the capsule, dab the substance on your fingers and then directly apply it on your face. It feels like a light moisturizer but a little rougher and I could feel my skin surface smoother after that.  It also doesn’t have any weird smell and that is always appreciated! 

YOUTH^® Activating Serum

This serum contains everything your skin needs for full skin regeneration, from apple cell and lotus Japonicus to Encapsulated Vitamin A. Sounds a bit complicated but this powerful botanical cocktail actually helps boost your skin’s collagen production so it can be renewed at a cellular level. You can immediately feel how it starts working, there is a slight tingly sensation. At first, I was applying it twice a day but it started drying out my skin a bit so I decided to just use it in the morning after Radiance C+E and I feel like my skin is now getting used to it. 

YOUTH^® Activating BB Cream

The last step involves this Youth Activating BB Cream, which is supposed to be a multitasking product that evens, corrects, hydrates, nourishes and protects. Honestly, for me it was more of a sunscreen only because it’s really lightly tinted. However, sunscreen should always be your last step before makeup so what I’m doing is apply some of this UD One & Done just to get a bit more coverage and then this BB Cream. I did like that this product has chemical-free SPF 30  and that they were kind enough to send me all four shades to choose the one that matches my skin better. I’m between shade 1 (fair) and 2 (light medium) but I think I could probably use shade 3 (medium) without any issue.  

MY VERDICT 

I love trying new skincare products and discovering new beauty brands so after using YOUTH products for a whole week I can say that they are worth a try. My skin feels softer and I can tell that my pores and fine lines are less visible so yeah, I consider that a *win* already! Plus, all their products are 100% vegan and cruelty free.
